Registration for Fall 2025 is open.  Registration for all players closes on June 16th. The Freedom Field Hockey season runs from August to early November. Freedom Field Hockey provides girls and boys, 4-14 years of age, with an environment where they will gain knowledge, understanding and skills necessary to play field hockey. Clinic (prek-2nd grade) practices once a week with games on Saturday. All other age groups practice twice a week with games on Sunday. Tournaments may be offered and are typically on Saturday. Tentative tournament dates (Sept 13th, Sept 27, Oct 4, and Oct 25-26).

Currently accepting new twirling members age 4 and up. Classes held at
Piney Ridge Elem. School Gym.

Thursday Beginner class 6:30 - 7:30 (1hour class)
(class may be split if registration warrants)
Tuesday and Saturday Advance Class
6:30 – 8:00 Tuesday and Saturday
Classes start September 17th Class times are determined by coach.
Beginner class: $450. Year (fee includes baton)
Advance class: $490. Year (fee includes baton)
Payment plan: $200. Due at time of registration. Final Payment due
November 20, 2024 or you may pay in full at time of registration.

The goal of the Freedom Fighters rugby program is to introduce young athletes to the game of rugby and to have some summer fun! Freedom is part of the Potomac Rugby Union Youth League which is comprised of teams from the Baltimore, Washington DC and Northern Virginia suburbs.

Home Games: Saturday Mornings @ FREEDOM PARK

Season runs from end of May thru July

Girls Rec Softball Divisions:

Pre/K-Kindergarten Division (must turn age 5 by Sept. 1, 2025)

Grade 1-2 Division (Coach & Machine Pitch)

Grade 3-5 Division (Player & Machine Pitch)

Grade 6-8 Division (Player Pitch)

Grade 9-12 Division (Player Pitch) –.  This will require some travel around the Carroll County area. 

Practice Start Dates:

Practices begin March 15th for Grade 1-2, Grade 3-5, Grade 6-8 & 9-12 Divisions.

Pre/K-Kindergarten Division begins practices/games on April 12th.

Games begin for all divisions on April 12th and end in early/mid June.

Games and Practices are at Eldersburg Elementary, Freedom Park, Hodges Park, and Old Liberty Road Park.

.No requests after February 28 except  Kinder & HS Div. 

Requests:

Coach, carpool, and teammate requests are allowed but they must be included with your registration.  Requests after teams have been released will not be honored.  All requests will be considered but team size and registration date will factor into the accommodation of requests.

We offer 2 nights - you may choose your preferred option at registration but night may be changed so session size is balanced.  

Your child can attend 1 of the 2 nights, unless we notice attendance is such that they can attend both.

Freedom Campanelle: Level 1 & 2 Music,

Grades 4 - Adult: Thursday 6 PM – 7 PM

Learn the basic mechanics of bell ringing, reading music notation, and teamwork moving toward the performance of several pieces of music.

Freedom Forté:            Level 2+ to 3+ Music,

Grades 4 – Adult: Thursday 7:15 PM – 8:45 PM

(Prior Bell Experience or music background necessary)

Build on basic knowledge of music and note reading to practice and perform   bell music with increased expression and musicality.

Classes will be held at Faith Lutheran Church, 1700 St. Andrews Way, Eldersburg (next to CCPL) under the direction of Linda Caviglia who has over 50 years of handbell experience.

Freedom Area Ringers choirs will perform concerts in the winter and spring – dates to be determined by the groups.
